Uhyre

Wounded Full Carbon Arrow Shaft

Already at the very first tests we were sure, this shaft has monstruous performance values. Loaded wild to the last fibre we called the beast – norwegian – UHYRE™

UHYRE™ is a combination of 100% high-modulus carbon-prepregs and a new formualted resin system. With these we where able to realise amazing weight savings along with increased stability and durability. Wildest FOC wishes can now be realised with this shaft.

Recurve- und compound shooters will not believe their eyes. The shaft converts the impulse force of the bow immediately into acceleration. The shaft also does not waste energy during the flight through unnecessary swing. It stabilizes in a very short time, thus reaching the target largely without loss of its kinetic energy. With UHYRE™ straightest trajectories and speeds beyond 300 fps are reached without consuming bow tuning.

High-modulus carbon in spines 400 to 800 will challenge your shooting skills. Tamed UHYRE™ helps you to explore new performance limits.

  • Shaft 100% high-modulus carbon
  • Black natural finish
  • Inner diameter 4.19 mm / 0.165 inch
  • Precison pin-insert PERN™ for each spine from 400 to 800, with only 7.0 grains, sold separately

  • Precision break-off stainless steel point GHIA™ 130/120/110/100/90 grains, glue-in, recommended for spines 400 to 800, sold separately
  • Precision break-off stainless steel point GHIA™ 100/90/80/70 grains, glue-in, recommended for spines 400 to 800, sold separately

Remarks Recurve: When switching from conventional carbon or aluminum/carbon shafts the recurve shooter must choose a whole (full) UHYRE™-Spine higher.

Example 1: Who actually shoots a spine 520, chooses UHYRE™-Spine 650.
Example 2: Who actually shoots a spine 600, chooses UHYRE™-Spine 700.
Example 3: Who actually shoots a spine 300, chooses UHYRE™-Spine 400.

Modern carbon limbs release their energy to the arrow in a much more direct way. Here it may make more sense to just select a half spine value softer.
Example 1: Who actually shoots a spine 520, chooses UHYRE™-Spine 600.
Example 2: Who actually shoots a spine 600, chooses UHYRE™-Spine 650.

Remarks Compound: When switching from conventional carbon or aluminum/carbon shafts the compound shooter can choose the same UHYRE™-Spine. In addition compound shooters can opt to choose a whole (full) spine higher without lossing accuracy.

Caution: When switching to UHYRE™ we recommend to start shooting at a distance of 5 to 10 meters to test the arrow reactions and to eventually re-adjust the scope (upwards) accordingly. Without re-adjusting the bow sight or point of aim UHYRE™ will fly, e.g. at 90 meters in average about 120 cm over the gold.

Attention: UHYRE™ retains largely the bow momentum and could easily shoot-through the target and stand behind it at any regular shooting distance!
